Head Torch Trail Run
25th November 2014
City to Peak! Front Runner to Ringinglow
This week, we're doing something a bit different. As some of you may know, Mark is leaving us this week to start a new job in the ski industry. So, to say goodbye, this week we're going to run from the shop to the Norfolk arms in Ringinglow where we will have some chip butty's and a beer (or two). Something similar to the route below but we may add on a little trip around Lady Canning's for a little more fun. We'll be leaving Front Runner at 6:30 pm this week (free parking in the carpark from 4pm). If you can't make the run please feel free to join us at the pub from about 7:45 pm ish.
In case you haven't noticed, we're growing horrendous Moustaches between the two of us, all in aid of raising money for Movember. We would like to raise as much as possible by the end of the month, you can either bring some money along on the run, or by visiting our Movember page and donating directly. It all goes in the same pot but to add a little competition (Steve vs Mark) click on the respective link for the person you want to donate towards!

Type of run:
This is a head torch trail run- Now that it's dark in the evenings, we would like you to bring along a head torch, without one I'm afraid you won't be able to join us. Whilst we starting in the relative calm of the valley, it may be quite windy and exposed on the tops, so please come wearing appropriate clothing for the conditions.
Equipment:
Head torches are essential, if you don't have one, please ring the shop, we'll do our best to provide them but we only have a limited number.
Adequate weather protection is required. If it's raining and a howling wind (yes, we'll still be going out) you'll need full body cover including gloves and a hat. Appropriate shoes are needed for the route, expect that it may be muddy and a bit slippy underfoot, therefore a good pair of trail shoes are advised.
Post run:
Chip Butty and a Pint(s) at the wonderful Norfolk arms. There is a bus which can bring you back from the pub to hunters bar if you wish.
