Sheffield Half Marathon Taster Session 2

19th March 2016

Sheffield Half Marathon Taster Session 2

With the introduction of a brand new course for the Sheffield Half Marathon last year we ran two Taster Sessions on the new route. The feedback from these sessions was fantastic so we figured we'd do the same again this year!

Kathryn Axon - "I really recommend these sessions to anyone doing Sheffield half. Did them last year and they helped...a lot!!"

Catherine McKeown - 'These taster sessions are really well organised and pitched just right to give you a confidence boost to your half marathon training. Sheffield was my first half marathon last year and doing the recce with the taster group made a huge difference to how I paced myself on the day'

Who are they for?

The runs are aimed predominantly at individuals who haven't run a Half Marathon. If you’re making your first forays into the world of running and are unsure what to expect, these sessions are for you. They'll will be at a very steady pace (11 - 12 minutes per mile) and are aimed to help build your confidence and ease any pre-race day nerves.

It’s the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded people in exactly the same position as yourself. All runs will be done at a very steady pace giving you the opportunity to pick the brains of the Front Runner staff on all things running; from training, running technique, pre-race routines or race day nutrition and hydration.
