Front Runner head torch trail run grindleford

Parking at the bridge. We'll be running anti clockwise.

From the bridge we'll take the start of the Grindleford Gallop route, along the river Derwent. We may as well start how we mean to go on plough through the muddy ditch. Once in Froggatt village we'll climb up into the woods beneath Froggatt and Curbar edges, contouring along to reach Curbar village. Climbing again to just the path running under the edges. This climbs gradually, appearing onto the edges between Curbar and Froggatt. By this point your feet will be 5 kilos heavier. Over Froggatt edge and into Grindleford woods depending on time we'll etierh take the plummett back down to the bridge or do a small loop of the Longshaw Estate.

Post run.
Either a drink at the Sir William or the Fox House.

Other important things you need to know.
Although we sort the route we ask that everyone who comes along is able to look after themselves and isn't reliant upon any other member of the team, this means you need to have the appropriate equipment (Waterproof tops and bottoms, hats and gloves, water and food, map and compass and an idea of where we are going to be running).

See you soon.
