Sheffield Half Marathon - Taster Session Two

18th March 2017

Sheffield Half Marathon - Taster Session Two

Since the new Sheffield Half Marathon route was released we've held taster sessions on the course. The sessions are aimed at those who haven't run a half marathon before, are unsure of the route and would generally like some help preparing for the big day.
Between the two sessions we'll cover 80% of the course including "the hill" and the challenging downhill running from Dore back to Hunters Bar.
We'll also go over a number of FAQS about race day and if you've any questions about technique, nutrition, training or anything else that relates to the day then all you ave to do it ask.

Taster Session Two

Pace.
The pace of this run is going to be very steady, we will do our best to stay together but understand this can sometimes be tricky. Even if you are finding it too easy, please do not speed off. The aim of this run is to not only learn the route but perhaps more importantly help one another build confidence.

What to bring.
Please come prepared for cold and wintery conditions. It's important to remember you might be running slower than your normal pace so warm layers are vital. We'll be out for ~120minutes so some sort of nutrition would be sensible and it's always worth carrying a few pennies just in case.
