The most important thing this week is that this is a Head torch Run - Please please please bring a head torch which has a good enough beam to enable you to run without the light of others. Also, full body cover is essential - Hat, gloves and long sleeve jacket.

The route.

We've done our best to limit the time on exposed moorland as the weather has been quite poor recently and high winds seem to be the order of November. We'll be making our way up onto Offerton Moor via Callow Farm, there is quite a bit of ascent with one short, steep section. There's some fantastic single track over the top of Offerton to Abney. From here we drop back into the woods and wind our way down Highly Brook Valley towards Hathersage. It can get very muddy so fell shoes would be ideal.

If you're unsure as to how you'll find the terrain please feel free to call or email us on (01142669591 or info@frontrunnersheffield.co.uk).

How long.

The run is around 10km and we're aiming to run for just over hour or so.

What to wear and bring.

You will need you own personal head torch, hat, gloves and waterproof jacket.

Please bring appropriate clothing. If the forecast is bad then come prepared (Hats / gloves / jackets / spare clothes / head torch) and if the weather is blisteringly hot... also come prepared (Sun hat / sun cream / water).

As noted above it can get very muddy so please wear the appropriate shoes.

Post run.

A drink at one of the many fine pubs near Hathersage.
