To run clockwise or anticlockwise... that is the question. Whichever way we run they'll be a hill at the end so we apologise in advance for that.

We're 99% sure we'll be running clockwise so we'll start with a very gentle climb before descending down some technical grassy terrain, a short up towards Stanage House leads to some tussocky ground, looping us up into the back streets of Bretton. A steep descent on good trails drops us into Bretton Clough. Flowing trails lead us along south of Highlow Brook. A gentle climb us towards Hog Hall brings us to the road. There's a short, sharp up on the tarmac before turning off back onto the moor by Leam Farm. A steady but very engaging up takes us back up to the top of Sir William Hill for the breathtaking sunset which is bound to happen.

The route is a bit punchy in places and does take in some tricky trails. If there has been any rain before hand then the trails become very very muddy so please wear appropriate footwear and make sure you're happy on this sort of terrain.

Post run.
Maybe a stop at an ice cream van or the Sir William in Grindleford.

Other important things you need to know.
Although we sort the route we ask that everyone who comes along is able to look after themselves and isn't reliant upon any other member of the team, this means you need to have the appropriate equipment (Waterproof tops and bottoms, hats and gloves, water and food, map and compass and an idea of where we are going to be running).

See you soon.
