Front Runner Head Torch Trail Run - Hallam Moor & Stanage Edge

11th October 2017

Front Runner Head Torch Trail Run - Hallam Moor & Stanage Edge

Wednesday 11th October 6.45pm for a 7pm departure.

We'll be meeting at the Wyming Brooks Car Park (The dropped pin on the map).

From Wyming Brook car park will be heading north towards the conduit. We'll follow this to Rivelin Brooks Reservoir, passing the old and rather mysterious Water Board House. Gradually climbing up the narrow trod picking off the grouse butts onto the back of Stanage Edge. Hang a left here along the edge and back to the Pole. Down the bridleway to the reservoirs and round the back of these to return us to the car park.

The route is around 6.8 miles and will take 60-75 minutes. The terrain is rough in places but never too technical and it's overly hilly. It'd be suitable for those are are used to running off road and can comfortably cover 7 miles on roads - If you're unsure how you might get on please get in touch :-)

Route Maps.

Post run.
A quick drink and some snacks in the Sportsman.

Other important things you need to know.
Although we sort the route we ask that everyone who comes along is able to look after themselves and isn't reliant upon any other member of the team, this means you need to have the appropriate equipment (Waterproof tops and bottoms, hats and gloves, water and food, map and compass and an idea of where we are going to be running).

See you soon.
