Front Runner Trail Run
16th September 2014
Time & location:
Lady Cannings Plantation, Ringinglow Road (above the Norfolk Arms Pub). We'll Leaving the car park 6:45pm. If anyone would like a lift from Front Runner there are 8 seats available, if you'd like to reserve one please drop us an email, call or you could send a message on Facebook. We'll be leaving the shop at 6:20pm.
Type of run:
This is a trail run - there are no massive hills but at times the terrain can be technical. However, it is dependent on the weather. The route has a tendency to get a little boggy in places especially after heavy rain so a good pair of trail shoes would be useful.
Equipment:
*if you have a head torch please bring it as the nights are drawing in. We will have a few spares but can't supply everyone with one.
Adequate weather protection is required. If it's raining and a howling wind (yes, we'll still be going out) you'll need full body cover including gloves and a hat. However, if it’s blisteringly hot (fingers crossed) sun cream, caps and being well hydrated are equally important. Appropriate shoes are needed for the route, expect that it may be muddy and a bit slippy underfoot, therefore a good pair of trail shoes are advised. Whilst it will likely be light long enough, a headtorch is recommended in case we are a little later than planned.
Post run:
A little natter and depending on time maybe a drink in the Norfolk Arms.
